New York

We went to New York on Friday to the PhotoExpo. We were on the bus for 11 hours total. 5 hours in the morning and 6 hours in the after noon. I sure was tired. This is us...well except for me, took the picture.

I had so much fun. I hung out at the Canon and Nikon booths listening to the speakers and watching the demonstrations.

I got to see my inspirations...Joe Buissink was one. He rode the escalator on the step in front of me...I wanted to say something to him but couldn't think of anything to say. The other was David Jay. He is one of the reasons I am following my dream of being a photographer. I was in the Pictage booth and he sat down beside me. I did talk to him because I have met him before, and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I was so excited to see him.

I have more photos I will post them soon...there is a problem with blogspot... :-(

Shots from school

This morning we had a lecture on street photography given by Christina. I think is was to inspire us to take photos while in New York Friday.

It was cool...It inspired me to take these at school!

Me being sneeky...hee hee
Ouch I got busted...

Not this time....
Tom saw me when he was out amongst us..then he ran up here to the compter and told on me to Michael...I think...or maybe not.....

Michael teaching us lightroom...he caught me shortly after this was taken....I am not a good street photographer...oh wait this would be more like classroom photography.

Richardo and his hat.....

Roll call in the DL

I also have been inspired by Joan lately. I have been trying to see things in a more abstract compositional way....

Look what I am reduced too....Dunkin Donuts, can you believe that? No starbucks here!

This also reminds me of Dick's class when we were making corrections with the view camera - correcting key stoning.....but this is the opposite the cup really was slanted, but in this picture it looks straight.

I was thinking about Joan's Lectures...and that assignment where we have to draw shapes and designs.

Derry and Salam NH

Today I went to Derry NH to shoot a game. It was so cool. It was a beautiful field, talented players, nice weather. I shot over 400 pictures. Here some of my favorite.

This is what the field looked like! It was beautiful

This kid number 30 was very very tuff. He was fun to watch

Then I stoped in Salem NH. I thought it was "the" Salem...untill Cal (my roomates boyfriend) told me at dinner "the" Salem is in Mass...gosh I am not that good at geography. Here are some shots I took there.

This is me...I am blurry cause I had to run back to my car and turn around before the timer went off. The camera was kind of far...I like it anyway. That is my light meter hanging down. Hee hee.

Northampton

Yeah section C we rule!

Today we went to Northampton for our field trip. I am tired. I got to the school at 7:00 so I could check out lenses. Then shot until 4:35...with a break to go to the Museum. Then I rushed back to the school to turn in my lenses before 5:45 (Beacuse Joey is scary! jk). Now I am posting this...just so you can all see. I know that is nothing compared to what is in store for me...but I am still tired.

Here are my rejects for the selective focus assignment.

Joe Buissink

Today we watched a video about Joe Buissink. I really like his work. Makes me excited about getting into wedding photography. Check out he website.

We also made cameras at school and took pictures with them. It will be interesting to see what the pictures look like. Here we are making our cameras.
